We offer many great extracurricular programs daily for both children and adults through our program partners. There’s something for everyone!

Adult Ballet – Join Ms. Helen for a mixed level, adult ballet class. For more info contact Ms. Helen at mshelen@silverlakeballetschool.com. Ongoing, drop-in. Ages: Adult. Meets Fri at 10:00am.

Adult Karate - Join Robert Meltzer for martial arts classes. For more information contact Robert Melzter at 1gym@sbcglobal.net. Ongoing, drop-in. Ages: Adult. Meets Wed and Thurs at 9:45am.

Cardio Sculpt Class – Join Diana Diekman for a great workout that blends aerobics, core work and more. Ongoing, drop-in. $15 per class, first class is free. Ages: Adult. Meets Mon and Thurs at 8:30am.

Karate for Kids - Learn karate in a fun, safe, class environment with our friendly instructors. Fun and fitness through martial arts training is our motto. Klub Gymnastics – Offering recreational gymnastics programs that will not only be FUN for your child, but will assist in developing athletic skills, flexibility, balance, coordination and discipline. Lionheart Fitness Kids - SIJCC is pleased to partner with Lionheart Fitness Kids in offering sports cycle. This innovative program exposes children to sports in compact, 5 week cycles, allowing particpants to gain a greater understanding of each game and the opportunity to develop their skills. Click here for more information. Age 3 at 3:15pm-4:00pm; Ages 4-5 at 4:15-5:00pm. Meets Tuesdays in Griffith Park.

Los Angeles Chinese Cultural Center - Offering various Chinese cultural programs to students ages 4 to adult and providing a special “Parent & Me” class for the children ages 2 to 3 years.  Our experienced native Chinese instructors will teach Mandarin as well as Chinese art, folk dance, martial art and Tai Chi. Mindfulness Meditation Class - Join us for a guided meditation and discussion through the practice of Mindfulness Meditation (Vipassana) in the style of Shinzen Young. ALL are welcome! Ms. Helen’s Silver Lake Ballet School – The Silver Lake Ballet School and its highly accomplished teaching staff seek to inspire their students with images and creativity, leading to focus, discipline and a love of the art form of dance. Ms Helen, the founder and director, has been teaching and nurturing a love of the dance for over 25 years -- both in England and America. Music Exploration Class  - Participants will get to learn favorite songs, sing-along with the guitar, and become familiar with notes, tones, rhythms, various instruments and different genres of music. With storytelling integrated in the program, kids will have a chance to explore music, words and performance in a playful supportive environment, and help build a foundation for a lifetime love of music.For more information contact Rebecca Martin at storybookland@earthlink.net.
