"40 Days of Teshuvah" Film Screening, Social, & Discussion

HOW CAN JEWISH SPIRITUAL PRACTICES BE INTEGRATED INTO OUR OWN EFFORTS FOR REPAIR AND JUSTICE?

On Sun. July 25th 8-930 PT at the SIJCC, join Nefesh, East Side Jews, and Bend the Arc SoCal for a community screening and discussion of 40 Days of Teshuvah, a film by The Inside Out Wisdom and Action (IOWA) Project and filmmaker Hannah Roodman. 

The film revolves around summer 2020, when Yehudah Webster and Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ) protested for 40 days culminating with Tisha B’Av. This protest came to being after the murder of George Floyd and the racial justice uprising in 2020.

The film runtime is 25 minutes, and time is included both before and after the screening for folks from all communities to meet each other, as well as take part in a discussion around the themes and spiritual tools present in the film.
