  • Meet Your Teacher - Lisa Feder Castenskiold

Lisa teaches Yoga using an interwoven synthesis of diverse techniques. Her formal training came at White Lotus in Santa Barbara with Ganga White and Tracey Rich, where she refined her non-dogmatic approach.

Lisa has trained to teach Yoga to “at-risk” youth through Yoga-ED and studied Neuro Linguistic Programming, with Christopher Howard. She has studied Somatic Experiencing at Esalen, and practiced Shadow Yoga with Shandor Remete.

She believes Yoga can benefit every human being. Lisa still regards herself as a student of Yoga, and an evolving practitioner of the various forms she loves.

Usually, her classes begin with Chi Gong warm ups and proceed into a slow, and graceful flow. She offers specific alignment suggestions and detailed explanations of the poses.

Her classes flow without music, as she believes the rhythm of the breath to be all that is needed for our spirits to dance with Yoga.
